Montgomery Coaching Clinics Available
July 28th, 2008
As required by South Texas Youth Soccer Association, all coaches must complete and age appropriate coaching course within their first year of coaching. To help prepare our coaches, Montgomery Soccer Club will host the following coaching courses at Montgomery High School:
“E” License Course – August 8-10th (18 hour Course – USSF License). The license provides instruction in intermediate coaching and teaching methodology for those coaching ages 9 and up. The State Director of Coaching, Mike Parsons, will waive the required U10/U12 Module (8 Hour course) for all participants of this license course. U6/U8 Module- August 25-26th (5 Hour Course – USSF License). The Youth Modules are designed to provide the most current and advanced information for the growth and development of the U6 through U12 youth player. The ultimate goal is to provide coaches with the tools to 'unlock the game within each child' and reach his or her full soccer potential. The modules will show coaches developmentally appropriate activities for children and the use of games as a vehicle to learning. If you are interested in taking a course, please contact Andrea Becton at reccoaches@montgomerysoccerclub.org. For more information on Coaching Courses or to find alternative dates please visit www.stxsoccer.org.
